i own a bailey lite-felt and i really like it. mostly because i can accidentally step on it and it'll be able to pop right back. my dad has had his for about 5-6 years and its just now in need of a replacement. they're good hats they just wont last more than 5 years without reblocking.
i suggest getting peices of the suit that are the same color and just calling it a three peices. most thrift stores divide the suits up and stuff unless someone takes it in on a hanger or something.
my father has this hat that he wears all the time he takes it on his bussiness trips and just throws it in his suitcase. its a bailey firehole (i believe thats the name) and he got it about 4-5 years ago in a town in wyoming. i was wondering if they even made it anymore and if anyone carried it...
have no fear hat man is here!
i tend to get hat man quite frequently at work. its funny though when i dont show up at work without one of my hats they all ask where it is. it doesnt bother me. the indy comments when i'm wearing my derby do bug me though however when i get those i take five...
something i noticed
i shop on fedorastore quite often and i've noticed that different companies use different sizing methods. generally a s/m/l/xl sizing is going to be a bit cheaper than a hat with a standard size. look around and you'll notice the same.
it's also different depending on what...
hat cans
yeah i saw those on the container store's website. i might have to make a trip down there and check it out. we have a container store down here so that would be a lot easier to do than ordering online
besdor i did a yellowpage search for western hat works but nothing showed up. i did find a store in horton plaza called hats and things i might go check out later.
aaron you'ves got a pretty nice shop there i might check it out for some hats.
the $2 bill went out of circulation a decade or 2 back but in the late 90's or early 2000's they came back into circulation and people used to save them in fear that they would go out of circulation and become collector items. obviously this was not the case as i keep seeing them pop up at work...
i find tilting my head into the wind slightly so the the wind pushes on top of the brim instead of the bottom helps me keep my hat on for those windy days.
i have to admit in the summers here in sunny san diego you dont get much chance to wear my fine collection of sportcoats so everytime i stop in at the salvation army i look at both waistcoats and sportcoats. i cant believe you guys would spend 30-70 on a waistcoat i could get at a thrift store...
not sure if this question has been raised before but does anyone know where i can find any hat boxes to give as gift packaging for hats and hat storage? either internet or local (san diego CA area) works for me.
oh yeah hi i'm tank. im 19 and i love hats. just to assure you i liked them even...
i find thrift stores to have a wide variety of jackets that are both too small and too big for my 42-44 shoulders that arent too short in the arms. but alas i found this great 44 leather overcoat for 30 bucks at salvation army. i love it.
thats a pretty nice hat. seems like the brim might be a bit taller than you'd like. i've had a pretty good relationship with fedora store. its where i bought all of my hats so far and they have a really good customer support program
