The unfortunate part of this is that hats are trendy which means that when they go back out of style, the rest of us hat wearers will once again be questioned as to "why" we are wearing hats.
Then again, most of the members on this forum aren't concerned about being in style, so it's not...
Anyone else notice that Don's hair seemed just slightly longer in the last episode? Maybe it's just because it wasn't as brylcremed as in previous seasons, but it seemed a bit longer to me.
I'm surprised how many of you do not watch this show. It's really one of the best done shows on TV and Don Draper is far from being a douchebag as some have stated.
The clothes are appropriate to the times and the article is funny about how modern people respond to people dressing in a...
Good to hear about Brian. My wife and I saw him 7 or 8 years ago opening for Paul Simon and he seemed petrified to be performing before a live audience and basically hid behind his keyboard.
I saw the Beach Boys a few times in the early 80's, back when Dennis and Carl were still alive. Not...
While I can certainly shine my own shoes and typically do, there's nothing like getting a professional shine on a business trip or just before you go into a big meeting. I like to think it gives you that extra confidence and helps with the mental edge.
As far as places are concerned, it seems...
Surprised no one has mentioned Johnny Tremain. Yes, it's a Disney movie based on a book for juveniles, but its a cool look at Revolutionary War Era Boston.

Since you've got several days, another cool town to visit would be Holland.
It's about 1 1/2 hours Northwest of Battle Creek.
Lots of history and, as you can tell from the name, a Dutch village...

Inky, I am not currently in Michigan, but I attended college there and have tons of family still in the state.
If you are in K-Zoo/Battle Creek area you should head over to Marshall. It's only a few miles East of Battle Creek on I-94.
The town is a National Historic Landmark Area and is full...
My all-time favorites, some of which I own on DVD.

The Muppet Show
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
The Fall Guy
K Street
Sports Night (Aaron Sorkin's first series)

Currently watching another great hat movie, The Natural, on Turner Classic Movies.
I'm actually kind of surprised we don't have a thread on TCM. It's like the hat network!
I've had people, mainly teens, say "nice cowboy hat" while I am wearing a fedora. I'm always tempted to correct them and explain the difference and the fact that my cowboy hat is at home, but I generally just say thanks.
I still have and wear my Banana Republic safari shirt that I purchased back in 1986 or so at the Scottsdale location. Wearing that with a fedora and khakis definitely gives me the Indy look.
As some have said though, I don't think Banana Republic was ever a real outfitter type store the way...
I don't really know if I have a favorite actor, there are so many who are good in so many different roles.
Favorite movie is tough as well, but if I had to pick, I would say Field of Dreams.
It truly speaks to the connection between father and son.
