Very nice store. If you work the controls just right, it will make you dizzy. :D
Looks like Art is not going to have much time to enjoy retirement.

That's a great story, G. Thanks for sharing!
I have spent some time in back wood Appalachia. It is a different world.
So, where are the hat pics!!! :tapping foot:

I am sitting here with tears in my eyes. :D Mycroft, this thread took a left turn and went out of control. It's all good clean fun. [angel]
It still looks like a caulking gun.
Belly Tank has WSB's history down pretty well. I tend to equate the antics of WSB to Hunter S...
The Denver area has the worst selection of radio stations. Clear Channel has pretty much taken over. The only options are public radio stations and some small college stations. Living in the mountains limits the selection even further.
I expect to see internet radio explode in the next...
Twenty years ago I would have said buy the L.L. Bean bag and never regret it. Now I'm not sure of their quality but they still have a "no questions asked" return policy.
Mountainsmith and Lowe Alpine can't be beat for comfort, wear and adjustability.
There are some new and surplus...
Nope. Not making that assumption. My thought was to just think ahead. Many times a hat has rested on my knee during meals.
My personal preference is to not wear a hat while eating. Whether at a bar or not. Yes, my mother instilled in me to remove the lid when indoors. The thread below...
I have to agree, WR. The "original" '36 stands out more and has class. The current trend of built cars is boring. I see very little originality. Some good talent is wasted. As far as fiberglass vs. metal, I like the feel of metal. Sure, an entire body can be made from fiberglass but it's...
Ding Ding Ding
We have a winner. :clap
I don't wear hats while dining. At the bar or at a table. If I'm worried about the hat getting goobers on it, then it stays in the car. But then again, I don't have any 'fine" hats.

Interesting. I always heard it called a "jib" line. I would say it's a southern thing but your from Texas also. [huh]
I am what some call a "glad hander" or the "tip of the spear". So yes, my appearance is important. My jib line is always straight. :)

Anyone have Sirius or a satellite dish? Our dish network now has several Sirius stations. Buried in the adult modern rock, adult easy listening rock, classic modern adult alternative rock was a blast from the past that is worth listening to. Swing Street plays what the name implies. Better...
Got a couple of rolls on my desk. Great schtuff. Not cheap, like duct tape, though.
Yes it does. Yes it does. Seen where meat comes from. I still eat it. Spending an afternoon at a large hog operation will curve your apetite for bacon, though. Fig Newton cookies have the highest %...
I have been looking for a beater hat. Something that I won't cry over if the badgers get a hold of it. ;) Good color, medium crown and a 7 3/8 might just fit. Hmmmmmm

I feel left out. :knocking on wood:
Good article. :)
MH,
Have you read this book? If not, I recommend it. It adds some other ideas to your argument.

I am still reeling from the sale of the other fine Canadian brew. Carlings Black Label was the poison of choice during college. :D I tasted like :kick: but was CHEAP.
I worked in a liquor store, in college. I'd bet ITG knows the store (Majestic Liquor on the Mansfield Hwy and...
I thought George A. Dickel was also a "Tennessee Whiskey"? Or is that just "Tennessee Sipping Whiskey"?
Love the history of boubon but can't stand drinking the stuff. :shudder:
