Yesssss, what a beautiful hats in this threat. Go ahead.
Outside cloudy - I was wearing my Penman. But I like also Panama, so inside the house I'm wearing now a cheap Panama from Panamabob. Still a very decent hat.
I joined in for some days ago at the fedora lounge. I own myself 2 Borsalinos, but didn't know Borsalino made a hat with such a huge, beautiful ribbon.
I really like the hat and the size of the ribbon. Congrats.
This morning:
Le Grelot straight razor
Monsavon shavingsoap
Mont St. Michel Eau de Cologne L'originale
Was a great shave.
My hat for this day: brown Borsalino.
I live in the Netherlands, Europe. Same thing. I agree with @The Wiser Hatter.
IMHO, the ballcap don't last as long as a good Fedora. My daughter (13 y.o.) own a quiete expensive ballcap. But for how long? My Fedoras stands sun and rain and all kind of weather, without any problem.
Even...
l o l ly_loisides, you're right, it is chicken feet. Very, very welmade. This is just a bit to show, but actually we had a big bowl of them. Most European don't like chicken feet, except the Spanish IMHO, but I love it, especially made in this way.
Tonight, my wife is making a sort of chinese...
Hi Tom,
The Voskhod is a very good DE blade, but also the Personna from Israel, the Lord, Rapira and the Souplex. For me, the Feather from Japan is to sharp and not necessary.
Straight razors: Wade & Butcher, Thiers Issard, Friodur by Henckels, but I own also some really good Chinese...
I shave most of the time with a straight razor, sometime DE or SE.
This was the razor, I used today; a rare Filarmonica INOX. A bit agressiv, not for newbies, but a really good shaver.
My first post here.
Today:
A John Penman hat: beaver, Indy IV traveller. Color: light granite. Ribbon: iron vintage
I'm proud to wear a Penmanhat. The best hat I ever had.
