    A Hippy era tie?

Back in the late 60s, the guys I knew would go to the lower east side (NYC) and buy second hand ties from the 1940s for about .50 each out of big boxes filled with used ties. lol No one had tie dyed ties. That tie could be from the 60s or not.

Changes in Attitude in Marriage & Divorce from the Golden Era to Now.

Paisley - if your parents and your brother had gotten divorced, who's to know if they might have found more suitable partners and been in happier relationships. Those new partners would have also taken care of them through sickness and health. I'm sorry your relatives were/are so ill, but I...

Since you shouldn't grab a hat by it's pinch...

I'd be interested to hear answers from the board members. I don't know the answer, but when I see men in 30s and 40s movies, they don't seem to be very careful when handling their hats. Maybe because hats were just part of their every day wardrobes and not part of collections like they are now.

Changes in Attitude in Marriage & Divorce from the Golden Era to Now.

I see people who have divorced amicably every day when I look in the mirror and when I go to work and say "hi" to my ex-husband, or when I see my two best friends who are divorced from each other, remarried, but still are good friends, or when I see my next-door neighbor whose husband stops by...

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

This photo wasn't taken today, but this is the hat I wore today to spectate at a horse show. Beautiful, sunny day and the hat was a real help at keeping the sun off my face.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Very nice hat. Glad you posted. I'm not surprised that Target had it. I was in the mall recently and amazed at all the jackets and hats that were vintage style.

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

Don't Look Now. Someone mentioned it on one of the threads, and I hadn't seen it since it first came out, so I took it out of the library. It's just as odd, and interesting, as I remember.

You Look It, But Do You Act It?

I am more into the style and films of the Golden Era (especially the 30s) than actually dressing or living that life. I love art deco (always have), love the clothes (men and women's styles), and enjoy seeing the nonreality of the times through movies. If I could get in a time machine and go...
