    So maybe someone here can answer my question I posed in the Whites Semi Dress thread. It was never answered there. Many of these engineer boots, including the Whites Nomad, have a soft toe. What kinds of problems does a soft toe boot have, if it is just a walking / fashion boot?

    You are correct except in one matter. "Irregardless" is not a word. The correct word is "regardless". :) I think the look has an almost "uniform" appearance, and would be best served if you were going for that kind of look.

    I am also looking into the idea of armor for riding, but I think I would rather keep the jacket unarmored for the same reason you mention, ie, fashion conscious. I'm thinking I would just buy an armored shirt to wear under the jacket, that way I could keep the jacket for wear when not riding.

    Ok, for those that ride motorcycles, I have to ask: Would a half sole like those pictured here provide enough traction for day to day riding on a heavy bike (Harley Road King)? I would love some boots like these, but wonder if I need the full Vibram treaded sole or if this is just as good.

    My question is "Where do you get decent quality wool turtlenecks?" I have a few from Jos Bank, decent quality, good price, but VERY baggy modern fit. I would like some that are more fitted, and most places only sell cotton. I'm not a fan of cotton turtlenecks or sweaters in general. Thank you!
