Well, there's 3 main peices to the pants, not two. For each leg there are 2 front peices and one back peice.
Thanks for the information! It'll take me a while to reread your post to really fully understand it, because I am tired at the moment, but I will certainly save what you've posted...
I'm making a pair of sailor pants, and I have to add about 3 inches to the waist, possibly more to the tummy area (grr, I've gained weight!). Should I add the 3 inches to the waist in strips along the seams? This is my mock up pair.
There are two front center seams, and of course two side...
That works :D My boyfriend uses pomade too, and I used it once. I don't like it so much though because his stuff is really hard to get out, but his isn't waterbased either.
I would say mine arrived today, but it's already the wee hours of the morn'! Well, in any case, I got it and I'm LOVING it! I love the wit, class, reviews, tips... everything! It seems so much more mature than the other things I've read, and that's just awesome. When I first picked it up today...
I'm thinking maybe it's taking so long because of the Holidays and it being the first issue? I'm also having issues with another magazine that I am subscribed to.
I hope it helps you guys out :D I'm in the process of making more videos.
The tulle wasn't toooo bad because it was just skinny strips of it, but it was lengthy, and a bit confusing.
Hmm, I'm a little confused. It may be that I'm American, but I have no idea what "fringe" is when referring to hair. I'm assuming it's like layering or bangs?[huh] Oh nevermind! I did some researching and found out that it is called "bangs" in the US and Canada. So to answer your question, yes...
You're completely welcome! :D I'm so glad this is helping! Also, if any of you feel that you want to save the video to your computer, you can use this nifty website to snag it - http://www.keepvid.com and post the URL address in there, and voila. You'll have to download a converter, or a flash...
I've never tried fingerwaves, but if I get the inclination and figure them out, I will make a video on it :D Or maybe someone who is on here can? I used my digital camera, a video conversion software called RAD Video Tools (for turning a .mov file into a .avi file), and Windows Movie Maker.
I'm so glad making the video helped! I had seen other videos before on how to tease hair, and put hairsticks in so I was hoping this would really help. I'm a visual learner too, so that's one reason why I've been making videos. (I have been trying to make basic sewing videos too)
~landgirl~...
Surely! I believe so. I've done it plenty of times with a pompadour before. Albeit, I used gel and my hair was more than damp. I really think it will work with damp hair. I don't do it with completely dry hair. I used hairspray first to get my reverse rolls to stay, so really, my hair was damp...
I hope you guys are successful! It's difficult until it just clicks, that's all I can really say. Please post pictures!
I have long hair too, and I twist it around my fingers first, I know you aren't supposed to do that with pincurls, but I did because it's just so long I CANNOT just wheel it...
Thanks gals :D At first when I had tried doin this, I didn't grab enough hair from the sides, so it looked kinda weird having this roll and then straight flat hair, so I grabbed up more from the side instead of just the bang area.
I didn't realize how simple this was to do until I finally tried...
And it worked :D I'm so excited that I know how I like my hair to be now. All I need now is the wardrobe to fit it. I feel funny with my hair up like this and I'm dressed in a t shirt and blue jeans.
ETA: I made a video to show you how :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9FQ4qvSUyM
There are plenty of dance videos you can order out there, but I don't know if you guys would like that. I know there are studios elsewhere too, but I have no idea of particular studios to recommend.
Here are some websites that sell the videos I was suggesting...
