Lorne:
re: converting a Homberg to a Fedora-
I think it's a great idea... It will make you look thinner!!!
And after it is done, please post pictures. I'm sure it will look adorable...

You're on your own for the Hagen Daz and DVD's
lol lol lol
Art mentioned that he intended to put the Faulkner in his limited editions, but had not updated the website in quite a while. I have to agree that the color mojave most closely matches the PB Optimo that I had Art reblock; now I must find a unique ribbon treatment... Perhaps Art will come up...
I feel your pain...
Randoman:
I feel your pain. I just ordered a long (?) forgotten Art Fawcett masterpiece called the Faulkner... a custom made for our own Bartender Alan C...
Despite all of my searching, I cannot find specifics regarding felt color, as well as ribbon specifics. Art...
NOT Paradise By The Dashboard Light, by Meatloaf!!!
My wife and I danced to I Could Write a Book by Harry Connick, from the Harry Met Sally Soundtrack.

Couple of things (very minor):
You can turn off the key clicks very easily. Either set the phone to silent mode, which turns off all sounds, or go into the setting, sounds, and near the bottom of the screen you will see "Keyboard Clicks"- slide the toggle to "off."
There are no games...
I was watching Good Eats on the Food Network (I admit it! I am also a foodie.), and at the end of this particular episode (Give Peas A Chance), Alton walked out of a house and propped a PorkPie on his head. Woohoo! Food Geeks wear hats too!!!

Hmmm...
The next great "cult" wine, since things like Screaming Eagle are unavailable, and Caymus and its ilk are out of the price range.
I think that Don is correct that to find "the next great wine" we must think outside of the box- the box, in this case, being Napa Valley. There are...
Having been raised in Las Vegas, I have to say my favorite is Casino Royale (the recent one). As for the others, I prefer to play on the house side of the odds...

For the cooler weather, I am enjoying Southern Comfort Old Fashionds, using Blood Orange Bitters in place of the traditional Angustora bitters.
Cheers!

Steve Delk talked over on COW about how with all of his new hats, he takes the back of a hat brush and "beats the hat into submission" to soften up the felt... I'll see if I can find the link.
Cheers,
RC
Ahh...
The hat in my avatar is actually an AB Deluxe "Aviator" model. Marc found some vintage ribbon, and decided to make a Howard Hughes Hat... being from Las Vegas, I just couldn't pass it up.
And yes, I have to was my hands 17 times before I can pick it up! ;)
More photos here...
I ordered my AB late September 2006, and received it earlier this month. But with his work on IJ4, I knew that I would be pushed back a bit. He is working diligently to get his wait times down to something more reasonable, but at the price he is charging the list keeps getting longer and...
Harry Anderson, of Night Court fame, had a stand up Comedy/Magic Act in the 1980's based upon that "magic hat." He would come out on stage and talk about how he started wearing hats as a kid, and spend the next 5-10 minutes folding and flipping the floppy piece of felt into various...
I think you misunderstood what I said in my earlier post, or I poorly stated what I meant to say. I love my CUSTOM "200X" Beaver Cliffhanger. I wear it all the time! It is a great hat. And Mark was a joy to deal with... But I stand by my statement that for the money, there are better deals...
