In general, I'm more of a fan of the idea of keeping the absolute minimum amount of secrets, as I feel it's a tool that is widely over used by our government, and often used for the wrong reasons. But perhaps straying into the realm of politics, so I'll let it drop.
I do like the propaganda...
There's a whole sub-genre of security called "security through obscurity"; Wherein you hope the bad guys don't get info, not because it can't be gleaned, but because you prevent (your employees, the public, the press) from talking about it.
It's generally thought to be a bad idea. Typically...
Hmm, there are several eateries near my work where they recognize me, but not by name, and I like variety a bit much to have a regular order.
I do have a once a week "geek" lunch with some friends, and we used to go to a Thai place. One of the participants did have a regular order, and the...
Hmm, well, if it gets you down, just watch Cinema Paradiso! That should pick a projectionist right back up! Well, except that it makes me cry, so perhaps not…
Interesting! I can't say so for me. I've seen many a striking lady, but no brief encounter can stand up to the way the sands of time wash my memory right out that leaky sieve of a brain of mine.
There are folks I remember, who I met in passing, but had some extended interaction with. Love...
It's all a question of trade offs…
And getting the effort that's put into things, I imagine.

Squeee indeed! I like your math, very nice! :eusa_clap

I wonder what a lino of...
Heh, I should learn to Waltz, as my wife loves it (and likes to wear repro 1880's ballgowns). I just don't think I can figure out how to wear the bustle.
Wowzers. Nothing comes to mind for me, but one of my brothers had a good zen moment.
He had gotten up early in the morning, and went outside to get the sunday paper, drinking coffee, in his bathrobe. A somewhat noisy VW Beetle was making it's way down the far end of the street. He thought - it...
Oh, and as for Cynar, well, I like artichokes rather a lot. But I agree, I'm not sure I'd have thought of basing a beverage on them.
My copy of the Aperitif Companion mentions that Cynar was selling over a million bottles per annum by 1951, after being introduced in 1949. At the time of...
Nice pile of homebrew, Lady Blue! Homebrew can be some of the best (and most cost effective) stuff ever!
I must admit, buying single malts has also given me a pricing outlook - but in the opposite direction. I think of them as "expected" price, so other booze seems like it's bargain basement...
