What a clever idea. It's practical, but romantic at the same time. Whenever she put on a pair of stockings, she thought of him.
And you know they wouldn't rust :-)

I thought the CC marked stuff was wartime? Didn't that mean it was made for civillian use under the "utility" scheme?
I'm just an ignorant Yank here, so forgive me....

I said I wouldn't buy another one, guess I was wrong...
This came into my hands this morning, a Winchester Model '07 Self Loader. According to the serial number it was made in 1952. Check out the buttplate and sling swivels, was this the law enforcement version? You can't really see it, but the...
Undertow,
If the rifle in question is a muzzleloader (like the one pictured) you can build it for any caliber you can stand.
John in Covina,
The grip on that AR-15 is a California thing. It makes the rifle compliant with their version of the assualt weapons ban. Eliminates one of the...
LocktownDog,
I think you'll find those soldiers in the photo are Danish. The rifle on the bottom right, the one lying on the ground, is a M1889 Danish Krag. If you look real close, you can see the loading gate on the left side of the reciever in front of the bolt handle.

The throw is about the same as my 94 Winchester. Not bad at all.

It's not 100 years old...

Believe it or not, it looked worse when I bought it. I found it half buried under a pile of junk guns at a gun show. According to the dealer, it was in a house fire. The only evidence of fire I...
I have that picture as a background image on my computer.
Kind of odd in that it's a .25 in a holster for something larger. Staged perhaps?
I'm in the "stick it in the pants pocket" camp Usually its either a really shabby looking Beretta 950 or an Airweight with a bobbed hammer.

Not Nazi, but Luftwaffe. Whoever he is, was awarded the Knight's Cross. Yellow collar tabs, so he's most likely a pilot.
Most of the KC holders have pictures online, you may be able to get a match.
A lot of them had professional portraits done.

Oh hell, I succumbed....
I just got these Monday. Whites semi-dress, black with a black welt, Vibram 700 sole. Yeah, I wanted them blacked out :-)
I've lost my mind. I never thought I'd drop that much on a pair of shoes. They are comfortable, though....

Sounds like classic swamp yankee attire. I have a Pointer coat I haven't managed to kill yet. Couple that with a pair of overalls, and I look like the throwback my relatives seem to think I am....
