I would also say that the HWM, contrary to jackets like the Teamster or the Long Halfbelt, should be worn a bit shorter. It's more of a young man's fit.
Both very good jackets that complement each other nicely. But behold! Breaking in that FQHH takes a while.
Funny thing is, I got both jackets myself. The Teamster, in oil-pull brown HH is here for over a year now and the HWM in exactly Cordovan FQHH came 10 days ago. Fantastc jacket, love it.
I'ld be your A-list customer.
Funny thing is that on the invoice I payed to Thursday Boot Co was an item called “MWST“, which made up 20% of the boots price. Thus I identified it as an acronym for “Mehrwertsteuer“, which is the German VAT (we love these long composed words ;-)). When the package...
Inspired by this thread, I ordered a pair of Thursday Boot Company "President" in Grizly Wheat Leather. I got them yesterday and I'm very pleased:
The fit is very much like Red Wing, which makes ist easy given that these, RW, are very widespread. Just the same size does it for me. Quality...
As photobucket doesn't work for me anymore (unless I would be willing to pay 400 $) I had to move the pics to another hoster and took the opportunity to post them again. Aero Highwayman, Cordovan FQHH, with my measurements and 46 instead of 48, sizewise. A pretty trim fitting jacket, short and...
Have been away for a while. Just got a new jacket from Aeroleather, one I have been thinking about quite a while. I always liked the Highwayman, but the boxy cut also made me think "this is not for you". Now I decided to follow Aero's advice to size one down, from my regular 48" to 46". All...
A great artist and a loss, for sure. But then, this guy lived how he decided to do, he did what he wanted to do, made the music he thought cool and meaningful - hey, he was one lucky guy, wasn't he? ;-) RIP.
Amen!
My point entirely. WL did something very wrong, he stole things and ideas from his employer and he will be punished for that, no question. But then, this is over and done, that's my take. My relation to Aeroleather or a possible future relation to AL, SB, GW or whoever would be a...
Well, maybe KC is not the saint you all make him look like and not everybody loves him, and some of the workers for Aero didn't like the idea of the Calders coming back and had no idea of any mischief and embeezlement on the side of WL? Nobody who left back then joined a "convicted thief" as...
I personally don't think the "tone" in this thread is wrong in any sense, I could also not relate to the accusations Paddy made, calling it gleeful or mobbish. We're discussing a crime that has taken place in a factory many of us "know" at least from their products, and we do it with some vigor...
Sloan's "trial narrative" would make for a good novel, only the characters on the Calder side of the play need a bit more colour. Reminds me a bit of Noble House, wirthout the scenery. At least Scots are involved. ;)
Seriously, these stories always are entertaining but a bit sad. As Paddy...
That's the iffy thing about that "freedom of speech", you're even allowed to have strange or rightout stupid views and opinions.;)
To bee serious, I'm sure some people in the "climate change"-camp also have at least simplistic views of the impact of human actions on climate. It is terribly...
Well, Star Trek is nearly as intellectual as the philosophical excurses you find on the backside of a breakfast-flake-box, but each to his own, I asume.;)
Ford is gray enough for both of them. Seriously, how old is he now? 70? Still acting in the role that made him famous nearly 40 years ago? A bit pathetic, isn't it?
