This is something I struggle with a bit in understanding - in layman's terms, what is the difference between chromexel and chrome tanning? I'm sure I remember reading that my Schott 618 is chrome-tanned. I suppose I'm asking not about the technical processes (which have been discussed before), but what exactly is the difference from an end-product pov?
It's interesting how the market went there. Back around the time AL must have been set up, all anyone seemed to be interested in was Horween FQHH, but by the time AL had reached an understanding with Horween and gotten the variation of Horween horse they use, it seemed that the market had largely moved on and many other hides had become just as popular. I think goat seems to be the big one on the rise these days.

I'm just waiting for the statement to be 'adjusted' to match reality. It occurred to me that the problem for AL letting their jackets 'do the talking' is that most of them just shout 'Actually, we're just Aero rip-offs!'
I feel for the 10 or so other staff members that followed WL to AL.
I doubt they all knew he had embezzled that kind of money or what was really going on.
If AL is forced to close, these people could be in real financial trouble. I can't imagine there are many job opportunities for their skill set.
Reckon you could pull it off like Nic Cage? Back in the day, Steve Strange had a full length trenchcoat patterned snakeskin coat. (Boy George stole it from him during the Blitz Club era, and it later turned up being worn by the Steve Strange character in George's eighties-set musical, Taboo).
Sure that's 1 other person who probably knew what was happening to some degree but that potentially still leaves 9 others who may also become victims of WL if AL goes bust.

Again, having sat through the evidence, I would not say that with any confidence - the similarity of evidence given by the Moffat trio was uncanny. Also, you have to ask yourself what sort of sympathy can you have for the employees who set up a petition against the Calders? That's a sacking offence for a start, so going out the door to join a convicted thief suggests is really on their own heads.
From a company puffing their chest up and talking about legal action I would have thought the statement regarding the email might equate to slander?+1
