Probably meant to be a customized Boss of the Plains by Stetson. The open crown isn't really low until you put a crease in it and the wide brim gives the illusion that the crown is lower than it is. That hat was designed in 1865 by John B. Stetson for the demands of the American west. The felt...
Nice pics gentlemen.
Just getting ready to go to an antique auction...hope the competition is more tired than I am and doesn't bid everything through the roof. Choice of hat -- undetermined.
Justin, it is neat to see a hat you have in an old ad. The sad thing is the old prices.
Nice assortment of hats lately. You all look well hatted. We just had a record breaking snow storm for one day snowfall and for the month as well. I won't bother to show off my trucker's hat with hood over the top. I'm ready for the weekend and fairer skies.
Delectans, really great, iconic shots.
Jeff, we're gettin' slammed this wknd.
Justin, nice candid.
Me at the local restaurant/lounge, which used to be an old hotel across from a train depot. The hotel is now housing (bar and restaurant remain) and the depot is restaurant and bar. Remembering all...
Cool, I found my pinstriped, navy blue suit at the Goodwill on my street. I didn't even have to alter it, which is always a surprise because I'm a 42 XL. It's not really a super old suit but I like the cut.
AnA, glad you had a fun trip and a safe return. Those kids look like they were entranced.
Alan, way to own that look. Neat to see your images behind you.
Trying on light brown Cricketeer today.
Rag and Bone, looks cool.
Blood, nice snag. I've found most of my suits, coats, hats at thrift shops. Poppin' tags!
Did a little window and grocery shopping w the wife. We found a cool pinky ring that I may have to save my pennies for. I think gold w black onyx mens rings look good.
Sir, that is one smart hat. That liner alone gets a Gold Medal from me.
It looks like fate smiled upon you with the fit, so wear it well. Either shape looks great.
Cookie, yes. It seems very well built, similar to the tweed sport coat I have of the same maker. The pants got dropped off yesterday to the tailor and I just got the call from her that they're done already. Usually it is a two week wait. She must know I'm itchin' to wear that suit.
Eric, very Nordic in that sweater w snow covered evergreens in the back...you are definitely NOT hated here.
Alan, that's one big sod-buster.
AnA, make yourself at home!
Nice to see so many straws lately.
No homburg yet but thanks for the comment. We were looking online one night and commenting on various suits but I didn't think she would get one. It is probably '70s and from the end of a time when there were a lot of good suits being made. I think Cricketeer...
