Yes. And sharkskin. Reitzel walked them thru for me since he lived so close. Been thinking about him a lot lately. We both liked a similar style. Miss his friendship.
I first remember seeing that picture of him in an old blog of Mark Fletcher’s.
Osuna is one of the makers I still follow and they seem to be doing well. They attend a lot of events and are making a fair amount of OTR boots along with the custom orders.

Joey Sanchez/Champion Attitude in El Paso. Black and ivory with olive green foxing. He made me a pair like this around 25 years ago but I've outgrown them so when I saw that they were having a 25% off all orders back during Memorial Day weekend this year I called him up. UPS dropped them off today.

Always liked these TL black label styles from the 1970’s. This is a nice pair but in a narrow size 7 & shows it.

I gotta agree. I like that style of wingtip. An ivory color vamp with peanut brittle tops and tip was the height of cool when I was in high school

I had a pair of those too. Wore the business out of 'em. Must've been resoled at least 5 times. Still got them, although they're long since outgrown. Just sentimental, Iguess. Maybe one of my sons will appreciate them one day.

I’ve had several pair of teju lizard boots thru the yrs. I took a pair of black Nocona teju lizards && blackened the white sole stitching once so I could wear them with suit pants. No one knew the difference.

I gather in certain parts of the South they're often worn like that. I had one pair of ankle-length cowboy boots in my middle teens; they were all the rage with the heavy metal set in the north of Ireland back then, late eighties, turn of the 90s. I wore them everywhere I could get away with them as dress shoes, including to my school black tie formal in our final year. They went in the cupboard after that, before coming back out in my early twenties when they did several tours of duty as Riff Raff's footwear early in my Rocky Horror shadowcasting days (including an appearance in Vegas at the 25th Anniversary Convention, long go now...).
I've still got half an eye out for the perfect pair of square-toed brown harness boots for me. Not so easy to track down here in London, already had one pair I had to send back (too tight and they arrived with the surface finish already damaged; won't be buying a pair of those in a different size!). Will get there in the end....
