Help dating this whippet?

I have already consulted all the stetson and whippet dating resources I was able to find. What piques my interest about this hat I just picked up is that the crest on the liner retains the stars, while the sweatband crest has the newer leaf. Liner has no oilskin or plastic tip protector. The reorder sticker and size sticker are different colors, could that mean anything either? If it help to date, the open crown is 5 3/4" and the brim is 2 7/8". Since the crests differ im not really sure what date range to place this in, thanks for any help.

first off... the "stars and leaf" debate is a bit of an unsound and flimsy dating point.
For decades as soon as it seems nailed down another piece shows up to prove the previous theory incorrect.
Other aspects are far more reliable.
Based on the liner tip, manufacturers tag and size tag font together I would place this piece in the early 50s
pre 53
I wouldn't argue with someone who said late 40s but I would personally stand strong in the early 50s.
Nice piece.

The one tell to dating this hat is the Union label behind the sweatband. I read that If it's missing the hat is dated between 1946 & 1948 because the Philadelphia plant ran out of union tags for that time period.
