What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Good day hat folks. Yesterdays "Pour at 4:00pm" at the neighbors dock was enjoyed uner the brim of a Stetson Medalist.
My morning dog soirée was enjoyed wearing a 30's Canadian made Brock. This overwelt brimmed fedora is minty. It does not show the light blue hues of the felt.
I enjoyed cold brew coffee while sautering about in a Champ Supreme. What a glorious felt. It is of Supreme Quality.
I started watering the trees on the property. They are showing stress. I wore a Penny's Marathon. Great minty hat and ribbon treatment.
I still have yard chores and slow grilling pork ribs to complete. Perhaps more hats to come.

One of my favorite older Royal Stetsons. Came to me with no liner and a missing size tag. during cleaning I actually found the torn off size tag taped up under the sweatband. Other than replacing a new liner and fixing the size tag Ive never done anything but brush it and hit it with a little steam. Some previous owner must have really liked a tight front pinch just a little off center, ( its in there permanantly) so it shows a bit of attitude lol. Always loved these older taller straight side crowns and wide brim bindings. Im such a fan of older modest grade hats. really fortunate to have the origional sweatband in such solid condition.
Its another one of the wall hats that Id love to someday find a period correct liner... that white satin does its job, but its just too loud. This one needs a more subdued liner with 70 yr old pommade stains lol.

Hopefully I am taking Tina to Holland next year. As long as her recovery from surgery continues and her surgeon agrees, we will be off to the Andre Rieu concert at The Vrijthof.
Meanwhile my lady was chauffeurred to church in style this morning.
The Susquehana hat topped out today's attire. But as one of the worshippers said, with a smile:
"Nice hat, but you will never upstage that car of your's." Can't really argue with that.

You are too kind Joe, thank you. Humble apologies for missing your birthday, Tina & I have sold our home putting all our worldly goods in store. We are currently renting a cottage, out in the wilds at the back of beyond. The internet signal goes from just about to sometime never. That doesn't much matter but I do get withdrawal symptoms when I can't connect to The Lounge. Take some advice, don't move!

Thank you Robert and of course no worries. Wish you both the best in your next adventure. Incidentally My son recently returned from a work trip, part of which was a week in the Malvern Hills…. They managed to have excellent internet while there. The country side in Italy not so much.
