Interesting review & jacket. However, does anyone else feel the D-pocket iterations have gotten a little redundant? I do like that a hand-warmer pocket is integrated here, but the shape & relative design of this specific D-pocket really does not do anything for me personally. This is my personal opinion. It just seems that the D-pocket concept has sort of been beat to death, and it's time to move on to more original designs, etc?

Regarding this D pocket, it's an interesting design. It's integrated into the main panel and isn't a separate layer of leather over the front. It must be made of cloth between the lining.

If it works for you and you like it, then don't worry about it.People argue about fit around here like it's politics or religion.

On a side note, does Fields really have a 4 year wait list?
I’m not sure about the actual wait time. Greg told me he’s not taking new orders right now and plans to reopen around October. I assume he’s clearing the backlog of made-to-order jackets first.

I just got lucky—the sample jacket happened to be my size, so I was able to buy it right away

Thanks! That’s exactly what I like about it as well. Greg integrated the D-pocket into the front panel instead of simply adding another layer of leather, which gives it a much cleaner look.

I think this is based on the jacket @ABCD designed and ordered from Greg many years ago. Always my favorite of his custom creations, so I was happy to see it go into production.

I have a pair of brown Nemesis boots and like the hide a lot - not sure if you get a lot of squeaks in the jacket but the boots don’t have the usual Badalassi curse.
