The last week I enjoyed some Surley Supremes.

Last night was the last of the deliciously cool temps (hot temps forecast for a week) and I toasted with a Surley and a Founders Porter.

Some ships are wooden ships, but those ships may sink; the best ships are friendships, and to those ships, we drink.

I was up before sunrise in order to start pork barbecue. I am expecting it to be ready to serve late afternoon. Guests are expected to arrive after 6:00pm. The warm weather and warmth of the barbecue found me really enjoying a couple of Founders All Day IPA's. My dog and I will monitor the pork bone in shoulder the next 6 hours.

I don’t usually get to post in this thread but…

Peters Bros. hemp and a Woodford Old Fashioned.

I keep trying to call this hat a Milan but I think I have it fixed now.

There is this little bar/hamburger/guitar joint down the hill from our AirBnB.

After this I switched to whatever lager they had on tap that wasn’t too hoppy. All these IPA’s can kick rocks lol

Yes sir. Over the years many dogs have shared our lives. This is one of 4 Basenji's we have had the pleasure of living with. . She is soon to be a 2 year old Basenj. She is named Portia. The name was inspired by the female protagonist in the play Merchant of Venice.

I know we have many dog fans in this thread. Cheers to our dog family members.

Just watched my old hot tub drive off with the new owners....I've been trying to give that thing away for 4-5 yrs lol

Now I've got my patio back. Celebrating out back with a Toquilla straw, a big Sailor Jerry Rum and Mango, and a My Father "The Judge" ...nothing like a strong rum drink and a big ol peppery box pressed cigar

Well, I forgot to get a picture, but I was drinking cheap whiskey and Diet Coke while doing paperwork in my Optimo Homburg. And now I’m out of whiskey. Here’s a selfie sans whiskey - my apologies. There’s a hat in the background that I can’t wait to post in the new hats thread tomorrow. You all have a good evening.

Grass is all mowed here. Glad I'm not rich and have a bigger yard ! It's really hot but supposed to be warmer tomorrow so I did the yardwork today. Showered and put on clean duds and poured a big Stesti brewery St Willie's Abbey Blonde ale ( local East Texas Czech brewery). St Willie's is a 8.75% tribute to Willie Nelson. Just the right alcohol level. Fresh squeezed orange added. Right after I discovered this one a while back, I actually found a St Willie prayer candle. Lol. Think the new Stetson Andover that arrived today makes it taste better. Not a bad little knock around hat. Out back watching the puppy bounce around his fresh mowed yard, play on the water sprinkler, and gnaw a big roasted pigs ear...life is good

We are 98 with a heat index of 122f in deep east Texas. What are you good folks in cooler climes drinking today?

Came across these WWE themed Seagrams Escapes Spiked thingies for 99 cents. Figured they would be fun while we enjoyed night 2 of WWE Summer Slam tonight. 10% ABV. The red was probably about as bad as you might imagine. The blue one though was not half bad. Paired with this old Dobbs Guild edge…. Added to a fun night we got to enjoy two of the very best at this craft performing at their primes.
