Chilly morning here after yesterdays storm blew through....Time for a warm hat. A Campdraft Deluxe in Cedar brown fits the bill. SOMEDAY Ill remember to brush dust off and straighten wayward wind trolley cords before pictures lol

That's an outstanding hat. I was in heir store over summer and liked what I saw, but felt that they were a bit too thick and heavy for my liking. How are you finding it in hot weather?
Thank you so much! I was mountain biking there and it was calling me.
Not too bad in “normal” summer. It is unlined and provides plenty of shade. Wore it all weekend at WomAdelaide (absolutely awesome- check out Fantastic Negrito’s sweet hat!) without any worries.
I have a couple more in transit:
Plum beaver fedora from Athens and GladHand beaver John G from Japan.
Considering a Fantastic Negrito clone…

Today's dog-walking hat was my mid-50s-to-mid-60s Barbisio Titan, in their Atlantico color. This is one of three Barbisios that made their way to me by way of that renowned sharer of goodness, Stefan @steur back in July of '24.

A perfect hat for dog-walking duty. An exquisite lid Mark, compliments to you, and Stefan of course.
Oh, wasn't there another hat wearer on your walk today? Come on don't be camera shy!

The trousers and vest that Tina made for me, quickly got dubbed: "My grey day."

All topped off with a bespoke G&G hat, and tailed with a pair of skilled cordwainer, Colin Johnson's, grey and white spectator shoes.

A grey day indeed!
I have been inspired by your many posts to order my own G&G (former Susquahana) fedora. Alas, between my living in a war zone and the apparently infamous LANGLEY HWDC, where the hat is awaiting shipment, I see it may be awhile before I have a chance to enjoy my purchase.

For Loungers not in the know, Langley HWDC (Heathrow Worldwide Distribution Centre) is a major Royal Mail sorting office located near Heathrow Airport in Langley, Berkshire, England. Jeff's hat might be stuck there awhile. For what it's worth Jeff, this is on The Royal Mail website:

"Ongoing conflicts, security threats, and airspace closures have led to thousands of flight cancellations, rerouted cargo, and a "state of emergency" declared by Israel Post, disrupting standard postal and courier services. "

Of course, the status of Royal Mail to my current location I was aware of, but I had not seen that post. It looks like a fantastic time.

Thank you for your kind words, Robert! It's definitely a hat that gets LOTS of positive feedback from people.

The dog is a puppy, still exploring the world with his mouth (and teeth). No hats go anywhere NEAR him until he's older and better-mannered!! :D
