A companion to yesterday's big clear nutria... it's cousin is the same felt quality, the same block (406), the same crown height (7") but smooth finish felt with Boss Raw Edge and a brim width of 4". I have a number of hats with these dimensions. I find the 4" brim a little easier to wear around town.

Anton Peschel Dinkelsbühl "Velour" "Rex" possibly late 1950s. The "Rex" quality mark goes back to Anton Peschel Neutitschein. This Velour has wider Brim than usual. The Dark Golden Brown Velour is of high quality. I found this Velour back in 2012.

7x Clear Beaver Stetson in Open Road style, but not labeled as such. The weather is fluctuating between 48-65 degrees as the high at the moment; So, jackets one day (or in the morning), and shirts the next. We're forecast for 78 or so next week.
Oh, snap!!!!! That's a beauty!!!

Is that an oboe peaking out from under your hat? I'm assuming you're a professional in an orchestra based on the stage shot in what looks like a nice PAC. What orchestra, if you don't mind me asking?

I'm also a professional musician... Jazz trumpeter based in New Orleans and tour with the Squirrel Nut Zippers (and as a side note, I started out on oboe and got a scholarship to college for it... And then quit after my freshman year to focus on trumpet). My career is actually what got me into hats, as they were such a part of the lives of my heroes that one of them was known for his hat of choice... And I'm lucky in that I get to wear them while performing.

Good eye! And that’s wonderful! I am indeed a career musician. Oboe is my bread, and jazz piano, saxophone, composing, teaching and conducting are my butter. That means every hat is a write-off. I’ll PM ya.
