What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Two hat day.

This time next month, I will either be trucking or hiking the Appalachian Trail. I have quit my job and given 30 days notice of my intent to vacate my rental room.

It all comes down to this next week and the final DOT assessment. I am very confident that I am ready to drive, and my doctor supports me, but I don't like to count my chickens before...

No matter what, lots of hiking is on my schedule for the next few weeks. Either preparing for the AT or giving my body as much exercise as I can before hitting the road full time.

This Tilley is my hiking hat. At home, I am under a JBS 20.

Pretty decent storm last night. Pecan debris off the neighbors trees all over my roof and yard. Rains all gone but its all heavy clouds, wet ground, decent breeze and kind of chilly. Sporting a Cedar Brown Campdraft Deluxe for the mornings dog duties

Just got this in. My female friend has been inspired by my hats. She asked me to get her a wool tweed fedora that reminded her of the hat her grandfather used to wear every time he went outside. I fell in love with this Dobbs in wool tweed with suede side panels. I'll be handing it over to her tomorrow. I'm hoping that she loves it.
