While I will be wearing another black one tonight, this picture is what it looks like when you are packing the first 25 hats of your collection to relocate (by shipping container, no less) overseas. After 26 years, my wife and I are relocating to Israel to be near our children and grandchildren. I will continue to run my business in Clearwater, traveling back and forth for extended periods each way. The large bulk of my collection is there so no moving (or selling) those yet, but the first batch is out from Atlanta by the end of the month.

These will all be boxed as well, but those would make for boring pics.

Quite the YOWZA week, Stefan! Hats, coats, and that orange/black scarf! Woot!!! I'm gonna vote the Stetson as my #1 this week, followed by the Portis as #2, and that stunning Fabroc as #3. Thanks, as always, for making my eyeballs spin with joy!
Thank you, Mark. Much appreciated.

Having a new puppy in the house is EXHAUSTING. Since I haven't been on-line very much, I'll play catch-up today.

Starting last Tuesday and concluding today:

Early 50s RDL Stratoliner
2012 Stetson Tehachapi Loop
Mid 50s Knox Premier Westlite
Early/mid 50s Knox Premier Madison Avenue
Early/mid 50s J.C. Penney Marathon
Early 2000s Stetson Temple

Quite the selection on display there, Mark. All very nice. I have to give it to the Marathon though; that's a real beaut.

All wonderful as usual, Stefan. I just love the Barbisio, though.

That pea green colour, the look of the felt, the brim binding, and the contrasting colour of the wide ribbon.

What a hat!
What green colour???! ;) Thank you, Steve.

Two hat day.

This time next month, I will either be trucking or hiking the Appalachian Trail. I have quit my job and given 30 days notice of my intent to vacate my rental room.

It all comes down to this next week and the final DOT assessment. I am very confident that I am ready to drive, and my doctor supports me, but I don't like to count my chickens before...

No matter what, lots of hiking is on my schedule for the next few weeks. Either preparing for the AT or giving my body as much exercise as I can before hitting the road full time.

This Tilley is my hiking hat. At home, I am under a JBS 20.

Happy weekend friends, and thanks to everyone who has given me such encouraging comments these last few weeks.

Churchill Pure Beaver, Red River Collection. The hatband is a replacement for whatever it had originally but was missing when I got it.
