You've probably shown it before, but can we see better pics of the Nature Boy token?

We really need a Golden Age of Professional Wrestling thread. I've been meaning to start one for a while now.
Sure!

This is a Charles Hatters hat, produced by the Borsalino-Vanzina group.

The manufacturing label under the sweatband is the one usually used by Vanzina, but other times it's the Borsalino one.

A few months ago, you saw a similar color, in that case "Coffee," which was produced by Borsalino.
This one differs slightly in the warmer "Dattero - Date" color and the very similar finish, which here is called "Greggio," meaning, like the other, a fairly stiff and shaggy felt with a rough appearance.

I'd like to find more hats like this, but they're increasingly rare on the Italian vintage market, at least in my size.

Thank you for your comments. I appreciate your continued support for keeping me updated on your hats.

What is the meaning of the Pennsylvania Railroad logo in the center?
To be honest I do not know. My assumption was that this was a Pennsylvania Railroad token issued on the day of his match against Kato. If true I believe I was able to match it to his October 6, 1954 match in Lancaster, PA 10/06 when Buddy Rogers beat Oyama Kato. I think it was the only Pennsylvania meeting between the two.

After some further digging. It appears this type of token may have been sold in vending machines at some of the PRR stations in the 1950s. I’m not sure if they were customizable by the purchaser if if they chose specific designs. It may be a person could put in a name and date and keep as souvenir of their PRR trip. Similar to those penny flattening machines.

I remember those from our little town. They were soft aluminum & one side was already type set by whomever owned the vending machine. For a couple of pennies you could type set the blank side to whaterever you wanted much like the penny striker machines Blare mentioned.

While I will be wearing another black one tonight, this picture is what it looks like when you are packing the first 25 hats of your collection to relocate (by shipping container, no less) overseas. After 26 years here in Atlanta, my wife and I are relocating to Israel to be near our children and grandchildren. I will continue to run my business in Clearwater, traveling back and forth for extended periods each way. The large bulk of my collection is there so no moving (or selling) those yet, but the first batch is out from Atlanta by the end of the month.

These will all be boxed as well, but those would make for boring pics.
