Help with Thedi Memphis jacket fit/ leather options for custom jacket

Hello all,

It’s been quite some time since I’ve posted so forgive me if I miss any details that are important.

As the title says I would like some help with this Thedi Memphis jacket. I purchased an off the rack jacket and I think I will be returning it and going the custom route. I feel the jacket is a little too long, back length was 25” front is a little over 26” (I don’t want it super short to the belt line but not this long either) and I need some more room in the back, and shoulders/ bicep areas need to be a little bigger as well. I thought this may be the case as I am 5’7” with 16 inch arms, 43 inch chest and 32 inch waist, so finding things that fit is very difficult.

I have some questions about thedi’s leather options, I enjoy this horse hide and but think black would be my preferred choice, and I am waffling between the black teacore horse hide or a black teacore deer hide (I was told by email from Thedi they have this?!) and I am curious how the deer hide compares to the horse hide!

Also just generally curious to see how the experts think the jacket fits me as is!

I mean it looks pretty good to me, sleeves look a tad long but I'd be okay with them.

If its not comfortable then experience tells me its always best to return while you can.

Yeah I think if it didn’t feel too tight in the upper back, shoulders and biceps I think I’d just keep it. But I’ve been going back to the gym and I think it’ll go from tight to no longer wearable sooner rather than later

Looks like you already know the answer to the first part of your question: you seem ready to go custom. As for the leather, I don't know about deer but it's known to be very soft and comfortable, but not ideal in the rain. I would ask for a sample. Anyway, you can't go wrong with horse.

I didn’t realize it wasn’t great in the rain. This is definitely meant to be an every day, rain or shine jacket for me so in that case I think the horsehide would make more sense.

I'm actually looking to buy a Thedi Memphis, if you can't return it I might consider buying it if you want to sell it

Alot of motorcycle gloves are deer because of how well they deal with getting wet. Deer can be completely soaked and dries back to how it felt before it got wet.

I was able to return it. But it’s already back on their website so if it’s something you’re interested in it’s still up for grabs!

I ended up going with the horsehide but I think in the future a deer hide jacket will absolutely be happening
