Rumors and Personal Debunking Regarding the 2022 Revival of High Large Leathers

My AI radar and filter are on. It was actually really hard to force myself to read the OP and tried to make sense of it. It took me several tries and I finally understood what it said. But my mind skipped over it like how it skipped over a block quote.

I actually own a High-Large Oklahoma in horsehide, but I don’t care enough to substantively participate in this AI-formatted discussion. If it takes the OP too much effort to write in complete sentences without using AI, it also takes me too much effort to write a substantive response while ignoring the flame baits.
I feel you, I couldn't actually read the opening post either beyond scanning here and there.
I don't know, I am following this forum since 2012 and participate since 2015. In these almost 14 years I've seen countless members whose native language is not english participating perfectly with some help from google translate (for myself english is my 3rd language).
Using AI - or AI methods - is something that happens really often lately.
I'm not a native English speaker either, but there's many ways to teach a language, the quality of the teaching and the level achieved. In countries like Sweden, Norway or Netherlands pretty much everyone has great English despite not being native. Countries like Spain, Italy or Greece pretty much everyone has quite poor English despite it being taught in schools since a young age. Countries like Russia, China or Japan make Spain, Italy and Greece seem close to native English in comparison. OP seems to be Chinese, so their need for AI may be (on baseline) greater than someone from Europe.

AI, in my experience, usually does a better job at translating than pure translation services do, as it will convey the idea you're inputting rather than translating word by word (or independent groups of words). The problem is the way it formats it, which is very unnatural. Both AI and pure translation services are terrible for lengthy posts, so the opening post with 1466 words is a glaring example. This one is still AI but far better due to being quite shorter, I personally enjoyed the opinion on specific Chinese brands.

Poor you. As a non-native English speaking I had no trouble at all understanding OP's post.

No one is forcing you to participate in this discussion. You're free to go play somewhere else, please do so.

I hope that this thread does not get diverted into becoming a political one. My comment above was based on the specific inclusion of the PRC in the OP above. I see no good coming from "branching-out".

Well, if you sincerely hope that any thread does not become political then maybe you shouldn't start posting about totalitarian regimes?

Point taken. Let's both of us not make the same mistake twice, not least out of courtesy to the OP.

AGAIN…..with the hit and run, delete and retreat contributions that further diminish the integrity of the many previous informative contributions of an obvious serial poster.

Impulse posting then remorse deleting is a real thing.
Especially when one feels “everyone needs to hear what YOU think”!
Initially interesting, inevitably boorish and non-lounge worthy.

Sorry for the thread de-rail but damn boy, take a beat before keyboard therapy @jchance.

I'll say it. I make a point of not buying anything made in the "People's Republic of China" (PRC). In some cases, this may involve more expense on my part or involve buying a used item originally made in the PRC.

Both prevent my money from going to the PRC.

This has nothing to do with racism, and everything to do with the totalitarian and unfriendly nature of the PRC regime.
This is disrespectful to the OP who came here to discuss jackets, not politics.

Also, I could make similar statements about the current state of affairs in the USA.

In case you refer to my edited post then I can assure you I deleted it because it was indeed political, and thus not allowed, and it would only lead to further derailment of the thread. My apologies above all to the OP.
No no no…not you!
You did not delete your entire conversation as did my referenced individual.

My apologies Sir.

Because I don't wish to intentionally disrespect OP, I'll delete my post above.

My man, the layout edited by AI is really ugly. I revised the layout for this reason, but this website swallowed all my layout operations

OK,guys guys guys,Let those political elements **** away,I'm aware that people tend to react differently when they see Chinese people. However, what's interesting is that this Chinese person loves leather jackets. I believe the appeal of leather jackets far outweighs any political factors. What makes this forum so interesting is that I've seen many jokes about the "badalassi" sound. Why don't we discuss which leather model we all consider the best?

I think different people like different things and as they go discovering the hobby their taste evolve and change as well. Are you new to leather jackets or have you been researching it enthusiastically for a while. What models do you like?

I don't understand this need to make huge overarching statements about brands.

high large is x, y, z

like now we have the high large gospel and we shall be informed forever

our jackets are the same maker. they are very different. brands do different production runs, use different batches of leather, etc. One jacket qualifies you to talk about one jacket.

the raw edges I can see on this one are all thicker than a quarter, but it isn't stiff at all like cxl for example.
