Can I ask, how warm is the air comfort with the quilt lining? Does it work down to 0-5C with a wool sweater?
Yes it does indeed. It's a very versatile jacket, I can comfortably wear it with just a tee shirt, and also with a sweater or thick outdoor shirts brilliant jacket and workmanship, the h/hide is 1st class,no fake ageing.

Recently bought an excellent condition size 48 Long AN-J-4 jacket on e-bay for $675; vice New price of $1395. Made by Flightjackets.com. It's a Repro, of course, and perhaps not "top-tier" at that. Plenty good enough for me.

I have owned Anj4's made by Lostworlds, Aero , Eastman and Real McCoy's New Zeala Real McCoy's Japan and Real McQueen. I currently own a RMNZ and two ELC jackets.
The Lostworlds I have owned (2) were beautifully made out out heavy inflexible materials. After a short period of wearing them, perhaps 30 minutes or so , they were heavy and restrictive. I sold both at a significant loss.
The Aero was also very well made but the materials were lighter, and softer making the jacket easy to wear without a struggle. I very much regret selling it.
Just a note. These were designed to be worn seated in a very cold space, not to be worn when on a country walk.
The one that tempts me now is the Poughkeepsie from ELC.
Just my opinion from my experience.

I have an Aero ANJ4 and an Aero B3. The Aero ANJ4 is pretty heavy and definitely warm, but not as uber hot as people have said. I live in the North East, so it gets cold enough for me to use these two jackets all the time. I've never held a LW ANJ4 but I do own two LW motorcycle jackets, and they are super heavy and invincible. The Aero ANJ4 is wearable, plenty warm, and definitely bulky. You can't go wrong with either choice.

Thanks guys! Got me back into this old thread! I was torn between ANJ4 and B2, but I’ve learned to be practical and now layer a thick lofted fleece under a ‘normal’ jacket with mouton collar and quite content with it!

Great decision,,I've owned both the Anj4 (eastman) B2(buzz rickson).
Looks wise the b2 wins but the horsehide was shocking,
If you're in the UK ,layering is the way to go,And have a lighter weight sheepskin for dry ,cold day's. That way you can be warm, comfortable & stylish, sorted. :) .
