About this time every year, my yard becomes a sea of bald cypress needles.
Looks like it's going to be another Sunday of raking.
Good news is, my Sterkowski is up to the task!

In my neighborhood we're calf deep in pecan leaves right now. I got to the point that a check for dog toys, and then drive the riding mower around and get the leaves in one big row... Then I just put the mulching bag on the push mower... use them all winter to cover up the mud in freshly dug dog holes. Helps keep the puppy a bit whiter lol

Funny you should say that - I use these needles to mulch around my landscaping. I used to just mow them into the lawn, but then I realized they work better than pine straw, and they're free.
And I can relate to your pecan leaf woes. LOL...
Much of my town was built on what was once a pecan plantation. Many of the streets were laid out in a grid that followed the rows of trees. As a result, we have massive pecan trees and deranged squirrels.

Wow! Another Sunday full of magnificent hats, and hard decisions!! I'm going with the Tirard as #1, the Brummel's Luxor as #2, and a tie between the Barbisio and the Wehrmeir for #3. A truly splendid array of hats this week, Stefan. Thank you for sharing.
