Schott 681 sizing help

I’m eyeing a couple of Schott 681s on Vinted; a 38 and a 40. I’m 180 cm tall, relaxed chest is about 97 at its widest point. I wear 32 waist in jeans. Shoulders on a snug fitting jacket are 45. Does anyone know whether I’m a 38 or 40? According to the Schott size chart 38 is small and 40 is medium. I’m normally a medium, but I’ve been living in Europe for a long time and don’t know if USA sizes are the same.

I have seen no reply. I can tell you my experience. Got many perfecto. Own a 618 size 46 i would like to sell or trade . I am skinny guy and one meter and 87 cm. (6'2"). The 618 is a short jacket and more for tall people . I was wrong when having a 44 i sold It and bought a 46 but the length is the same(59 cm) just get room and being skinny was the mistake. I think for you size 38 would be small , so my opinión is a 40
