Don't get your knickers in a knot over the wide ribbon and lack of stitching as other examples exist. More pics and details in the *******s on Parade thread.

Same Shudde after cleaning, crown shaping and adding pencil curl to brim at Paris Hatters. Also replaced the cheap plastic hatband with a ribbon. The original sweatband also had to be replaced because it shrank during cleaning.1982 Shudde Bros Beaver Supreme. 3 1/2 inch brim, about 5 3/4 inch open crown. Probably the dirtiest hat I've ever bought. This was a curiosity purchase as much as anything. I had no idea when Shudde used the Beaver Supreme name, but guessed this hat was at least 1960's or after because of the fake little belt-type plastic hatband, which to me is an insult to a hat of this supposed quality. Turns out the sweatband has a date handwritten on it. The felt seems good for a 80's hat. Can judge better after the hat is cleaned.
1940s (?) Dobbs Game Bird. I think the price reads $8.50 . It’s in need of a cleaning.

Kind of late in the summer to be buying straws but when a USFS Stetson in a long oval came up for a decent price I had to bite.

Rand’s Custom Hatters 8X (50% beaver) from 2014. Made for Remington Arms Co. Not sure if I should clean it or go with the distressed look. It’s probably not distressed enough for that market.
