Looks good, Bill. Not sure if I‘ll be able to pull this off. @quikrick makes them look cool but I think a 4” brim is minimum allowed around my neck of the woods .

1950s (?) Penney’s Marathon 3X. 2-3/4” bound brim and 5” (open) crown. Came with the original box and shows very little use.

Really nice!My new Wolfbrae showed up today, it is a Ukrainian rabbit felt in military color. Kind of a Wanderer clone. Robert did a great job. Will post more in the Wolfbrae thread. View attachment 545688 View attachment 545689
That's a pretty one, Bob.
Looks good, Bill.
Thanks guys!A mighty fine flat top!
Did Mossant use beaver felt in all their hats? This one is definitely French.
Mossant Castor Hudson Diplomatique or homburg if you will. Size 57 with the bound brim at 6cm and crown at 11cm at the center dent. Classic colours with the grey felt (called "Gris australien") and contrasting ribbon and brim binding. The way the felt creases this certainly is beaver felt.

Stetson "Excellent" Made under License by Mayser, Especially Made for Carl Kellner Hamburg, measures 58cm, possibly early 1960s. The paper label is missing so not sure it's Black, could possible be a Dark Charcoal Gray. It's a later Form but the Felt is pliable and easily dry creases. I like the color of the the Band / Binding and also like the Bow design.
Open Crown
Joe, Thanks! I wore it tonight. One Excellent Stetson indeed.
Two things have eluded me for many years, a Stack hat and a heather hat. Thank you @BobHufford for passing this two-for-one along to me. A 3 3/4 brown heather with a woven ribbon and a 2 1/4 overwelt brim. Who could go wrong for just $10.
