Five Star HH aviator holding up well in the NYC winter. Body and sleeves are lined in wool (better than what i was expecting tbh) so very nice with a sweater. Currently my only leather jacket as i rebuild my collection with more versatile pieces. This is nice though as i can wear it as often as possible and really enjoy it all winter

Can never see enough of this jacket. It's gone so far as I've now got my eyes on a black one from The Flat Head. Just seems like the perfect jacket for days it's too cold for leather, but a touch too warm for a full shearling. Love it.

It's wet today so I decided to wear my old sew sew m65, my dad wasn't issued a liner with it and I haven't bought one for it but the OG108 field shirt fills in well enough.

I just realized that both are 1977 dated too.

All change this morning. This overshirt arrived yesterday after I bought it totally on a whim looking through clearance offers. Waxed canvas with a Sherpa lining, price reduced by 80%.

I hate the current gigantic boxy fit that seems to be everywhere with overshirts, that makes everyone look like they're wearing their dad's. So I erred down on size with this and I've ended up with more of a t shirt fit.

It's Superdry again after my recent success with them, but it does suffer a little from their occasionally-stupid proportions. Slim sleeves are good, slim body is good, but the armholes are high and small and the sleeves are long. But the next size up would have annoyed me by covering my hands too much, I think.

At the last moment before heading out I threw on this Cone Mills denim shirt and then regretted it within a few minutes of walking as I was far too hot even in 10 degree weather.

Also, a bit of a departure for the trousers too. Twill jeans, but in a wide fit very unlike my usual slim choice. I blame @torfjord for this entirely, as he's the wider-trouser reference at this point. But you don't know what works until you try, and the jury's still out on these I think.

Anyway. Too many words.

My favourite type of jacket is the deck jacket. They are the most practical jackets for Dublin weather.

Trousers look really nice! Try wearing them for a few days, you’ll discover how uncomfortable slim fit jeans are once you try to go back .
