Quick pics right after delivery. I cannot use my standard fence background as I had this one delivered to work. I’ll say that was to make certain someone was able to receive it but just the same, if you see Mrs. Bfd70, let’s not bring up the purchase. Seller was TFL very own @Powerband who was unsurprisingly easy as pie to deal with.
Perfect fit. Was really a little uncertain about this. My experience with this cut is limited and was not positive. I think my last attempt was undersized. This feels lighter than I expected which I like. I also was worried about potential stiffness from LW horse. This could pass for a new sweatshirt. I could wear this jacket to drive cross country today. The color is darker than i expected. I think i’d prefer slightly more red to the russet (this is being nitpicky and is not problem enough to trigger and leather ocd). If the war dept put handwarmer pockets on these jackets i might very well be done.

Dude, a perfect fit. As I mentioned to you, I regret selling for the very reasons you mentioned. The wearability is the top reason.

Looks great on you, bro.

Wow! Nice creation! The 3.5 is my favorite of his leathers, this looks perfect. I had not noticed this half/belt configuration on any of his stock jackets. I love what you/LW did with the back and the button cuffs! It may take some time to be able to use those buttons!

I do like the Brown. This would be sharp in Black too. Nice put together.

Here’s a bit of a curve ball: not my usual leather G-1 today. I picked up this Mustang Survival floatation jacket off the ‘bay in brand new condition for 1/3 the price of a new one.
Most floatation jackets are big and bulky and made with a cheap shiny nylon shell; this one is very form fitting with a Gore-Tex type outside layer and the foam floatation inserts are articulated for maximum freedom of movement. Reflective stripes. Fleece lined pockets. Very, very warm and total all-day comfort. Hideaway hood stows in the big, comfy fleece collar.
We just went thru a brutal Nor’easter storm and this jacket was ideal to keep out the wind and rain and chilly temperatures. Once you’re zipped up in this baby you feel as unstoppable as Captain America!

I very like all its tiny but quite important details - old school yoke, triangular stitching on the pockets, button cuffs, pleats on the back right above its half belt. And I do love its main Crown zipper. All of that makes the jacket looking so tempting and that does gives the jacket that unique spirit of good old days of history. What a stellar jacket you've just purchased John, sincerely congrats!

That jacket looks like it would outlast you your children and their children, I briefly owned a LW jacket as part of my ongoing journey of trying all the different styles and makers to work out what I like, incredible workmanship involved in their jackets, mine was a catch and release didn’t suit my climate the leather was like wearing heavy armour but incredibly well made would have outlasted me if I had kept it,the sort of thing you would wear in a zombie apocalypse wielding a machete, awesome jacket hope you get many years wear out of it.
