The unknown Strat clone with an easy dry crease, no steam.
That cleaned up pretty good! Do you still plan on a naphtha bath? I like the contrast of the ribbon.

I love this one, David. I actually printed out a color copy of it for my trip to Ecuador to show weavers examples of what I like. It's one of my absolute favorites from the entire FL website. If for some insane reason you ever decide to sell it, then send me a message!
Thanks Bob! I think I'll probably just set a crease in it & let it be. I would say the real color is close to Pecan. That cleaned up pretty good! Do you still plan on a naphtha bath? I like the contrast of the ribbon.
Hey all!
This Dobbs "Sunbrero" with a Western flair was made right around 1960, give or take a year. At 65g, the unknown straw type rivals my Parabuntal in weight, with an open weave perfect for this warm summer day.

It is a modern Dobbs, probably 90s(?). Poly straw so it is kind of hot, but the color works for me.I love the color of this hat! It really pops!! Sounds like a great deal from your Haberdashery!
Might as well be !! Thanks DougIs this Akubra week? You're looking pretty sharp there, amigo!

Today I reached for the boater shelf and selected a fine plaited straw from Knox. But I couldn't help swapping head time for a new arrival from Australia.

I thought the Yeddo straw was a Japanese thing from the early century. I'll spend some quality time on the Boater Faction thread to refresh my aged memory.Yes, it is a Yeddo straw... not sure the connection with Japan, this was probably sourced from Italy or Switzerland.
Just cleared out the cobwebs and found the Japanese weave from the teens and twenties is called "sinnet" (Yeddo sounded Japanese, Sinnet more European) I don't care Alan, your boaters are exquisite!I thought the Yeddo straw was a Japanese thing from the early century. Ja ja ja !!! Looks like it !!! One of my just shaved Giant Schnauzers, we were talking a couple of days ago that, when shaved, they look like dogs from the movie Resident EvilGreat fedora.
Is that a Chupacabra in the background?
