My first boots were Redwings in the 60's and they did on my Wellingtons at the time. Australia was there not a good negotiation? None of my business but I personally would like to know before I order boots.
I'm pretty sure you can ask them not to stamp the boots with a logo?
Not just you.
It reminds me too much of polo shirts with little animals on them. "Hey, look how much I spent on this."
Another thing that I see a lot of boot manufacturers doing these days, if they are a U.S. manufacture any way, although I have seen a few British too, is sewing a little flag onto the shoe/boot. Don't know if the same applies in other countries, and I may be about to go off on a rant and no one cares, but I was taught as a boy that the only acceptable way to wear the nations flag was as (a) a patch on the left shoulder of a uniform or (b) a lapel pin for civilian use. I'm willing to let slide the hats and T-shirts that are near universal anywhere today, but to walk around with your nations flag on your feet is a level of disrespect for everyone who's ever served under it that would be unfathomable to most people if they actually gave it any thought.
Apologies, I now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.
Cool thanks Breton!Yep, eezy peezy
Yep, have emailed him too!Brian the Bootmaker has great ones.
Hi guys,
I'm having a hell of a time sourcing decent roller buckles for the new wesco build. I have emailed the guy from vintage engineers, and the bloke in Japan I got the last ones from, no answer from either of them.
Can anyone recommend anyone, or can someone please point me in the right direction?
Thanks.
John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. I am not sure which guy in Japan you emailed, but Hukurokuju has great roller buckles, sized for Wesco straps.
Just got an email back from brass. They have some in brass, I liked the hold chrome from last time, but these look pretty solid too. I think this case is closed.A buddy of mine picked up a pair from Brass which are absolute stunners; $40/shipped I believe. Kick the **** out of the ones John @VEB has sold/sells

No mate, sticking with wesco. There really aren't too many options. I like the nomads, but they aren't as custom as I would like. Anything else is a few hundred out of my league. I already had 2 pair of whites on order with bakers, we were waiting to check fit on wesco before proceeding.so, I had a bit of leverage. It was a stuff up, but they are genuinely taking care of me, so I really can't complain. After the first fiasco, I really don't anticipate any drama moving forward..( fingers crossed)Glad to hear; you gonna keep it a secret what engineers they're going on? Guessing something other than wesco![]()

I think 8"-9" would be my minimum for engineers, and would prefer that to 10-11".Anyone ever bought short engineers? As in 6" short? I usually stick with 10". I fly a lot, though, including four trips to China in Spring/ Summer, and all that taking shoes on and off for security gets old. Still not sure I can bring myself to try slip on shoes, but these might bd an option...http://sendra.com/coleccion/carol-*****-2/ Anyone ever buy Sendra boots? Look nice, at a price closer what feels right for me...
