Dear friends,

I need your expertise about a project of buying a brown Barnstormer.

what do you think of the sign of wear ?
Is it possible to clean the HH leather?
Should I do nothing and keep it like this ?

thx

Based on only those 2 photographs, it looks to be in fine condition to me. Perfectly broken-in. I suppose final decision would depend on the price.

I don’t see anything that looks strange. Looks like it’s in good condition. Can you describe what it is that you are suspecting would need attention?

These are normal signs of light wear for CXL.
You can clean leather lightly with a damp cloth, it is recommended to do it in areas where the skin touches the leather, back of the neck and wrists to avoid long term damage. I do that every few months on my most worn jackets.

The jacket you posted look spretty new, i don;t think it needs a real clean, maybe clean the collar and the wrists but that's about it, it looks barely broken in.

I don't see any wear or dirt. Have you owned a heavy leather jacket before?

You can wipe it down with warm soapy water - collar and cuffs and any spots of dirt. The leathers should look scratched and scuffed if it is any good. It will weigh a ton if you are not used to a real leather jacket.

The only I own in HH is the same BARNSTORMER in Black. Your are right, Heavy, heavy, heavy !!!!
It’s really recent, I bought it end of december.
But I think black is less « fragile » considering the scratches and scuffs.
So all your commentaires encourage be to buy it. It depends on the price now

Doesn't seem to be anything wrong from the pics. Some more detailed pics would be nice, but I don't see anything bad there.

Are you referring to the colour variation? That’s just how brown CXL wears in. Perfectly normal.

Brown CLX has a pull-up effect (unlike black CLX), these color variations of lighter and darker spots are in the nature of the leather. Eherything is fine with this jacket. Fits you well, too.
