Worried Akubra Buyer's Success Story!

I have been interested in an Akubra hat for a few years but being a tall and lanky man I always worried about what the hat would look like, would it be too tall, what would be the best hat to buy? I emailed Hats By The 100 a few times and they recommended the Territory or Riverina but after doing research I found that Hats by the 100 had some bad reviews which made me super worried to buy but they were the only ones who had my size in stock. I bit the bullet and ordered 2 weeks ago and then stumbled across a thread where a customer got their hat totally crushed, which freaked me out! My hat arrived and lo and behold it is freaking perfect! I am guessing they changed the way they pack their stuff because this was packed so well that I've even kept the box for storage. So happy with my new hat, love the dipped brim and colour.

Maybe. We’ll see what Hats by the Hundred does in the future. For many of us, including me, the bridges have been burned and I don’t see the need to take the risk when there are other sources for Akubra that sell for the same or less and have near perfect track records for packaging and customer service.

I’m glad you are pleased with your purchase. I purchased my Akubras from David Morgan and Hat Direct, I never had to deal with damaged hats. I would be frustrated if any of my hats arrived damaged.

Hey, yeah this was the band that came attached, that was the reason I ended up picking the Territory over the Riverina, I preferred the band on the Territory.

Well as a first-time hat buyer I can say I definitely will be buying from Hats100 again. Speedy service and nice packaging, easy to communicate. I could be biased as I have only had one experience but I do plan to order again in the future and will see what results I get again.
