White's boots sizing

Hi people - Hope is ok to share this stuff here - I'm looking for some advise/help with White's sizing - It has been more then two years that I'm doing a back and forth with White's on a pair of boot on the 55 last that they seems not to get the fit and feedbacks I shared and all the attempt to address the issues have been a failure (3 rebuild and a try one pair) 2.5 years and still no boot to wear !
I measure on the Brannock :

Left foot HTT 11/11.5 HTB 11.5
Right HTT 11.5/12 HTB 12.5

I have been put into an 11D, then 11D right 10.5D left, and 10.5D left and 10.5E right - and a 10.5D R/L try on - The left boot on a 10.5D worked well until full break in and started to feel a bit short and arch as well a tad short - the right one it has been nothing but a pain in whatever size they threw at me an I keep giving the same feedback that the arch feels short and I get lots of pain in the foot ( shortening cramping of the foot) and travelling pain up to knee and hip, for instance if I wear them a all day for a week I have to wear sandals.
Can anybody give me an idea of what sizing should be and also what is my real Brannock considering arch is longer then overall foot - PS: I went to white's for a potential mismatch pair since I have been struggling for a long time with of the shelf boots. Many thanks.

The common recommendation for 55 last is half down from your Brannock (whichever is longer, usually HTB) and up a width. It sounds like you need a 12 on your right foot and 11 on your left. If you can't get mismatched sizing then I'd try 11.5.

Same as viberg.

Maybe the last just doesn't work for you. Every pair has been very comfy for me.

I wouldn't go thru all this trouble just get a different last or maker.

Fit getting worse after break in doesn't sound right.

Thanks @Ron86 - so having gone with the HTB measurements was wrong when I got my Brannock sizing.

HTT is kind of a useless measurement but unfortunately it’s what a lot of stores and shoe salesmen look at because it’s more cut and dry than HTB. This generally causes people with shorter toes to be missized like in your case.

I see - how's your experience with white's ? I loved them the build and hand sewn construction is great - How was your sizing experience if you don't mind me ask - thanks

I just winged it and bought my viberg size (1 size down from my sneakers size) and it worked out well.

It sounds like you need to set up to go visit Whites (and Nick's while out there) in person.

They will measure you properly and get the fit nailed. For me I finally just ordered one size narrower than my Brannock size and boom - it worked. That said, I have multiple pairs of White's & Nick's in anywhere from 10.5D - 13B and all fit and work without issue at this point.

And yes, I have a PNW boot problem, for sure! :)

This is an impossibly long time to try to get one pair of boots to fit. If I were you, I would have given up after the second attempt and moved onto another brand as maybe the 55 last just isn’t for you.

Are you sure you even need a high arch last?

For me, at a 10D Brannock, I own the following Whites:
- 9D 55 last Bounty Hunters
- 9D 5050 last Nomads
- 9.5D MP last MP-Shermans

My left foot is about .5 size down from my right, but not significant enough to get differing sizes. The MP last is my favorite of the 3 as I don’t need high arch, but can still wear it.

And like Marker2037 indicates, be sure of your own arch support needs & comfort, as well as your use-case.
The "56" last (used on Packers) is so-over the top it can really take some work to "adjust" your foot to. I still have one pair of Packers that fit me well, but I can only wear them so long due to the 56 last & arch shape. The 55 last and other more moderate arch lasts fit me better.
