A large, (pumpkin-sized), winter squash roasted and stuffed with rice, onion, apple, chopped bacon ends, pulled pork, cumin, cinnamon, and sage. Accompanied by a Spanish grenach.

Fish and Chips from a local pub.
Washed down with some cold Sierra Nevada. :D

⇧ You could steal super girlfriend away from me with a "date-night" like that*. She's not a big fried food fan (I know, everyone has his or her "crazy"), but fish and chips are in a separate category in her world.

* Let's be honest, no one really understood why someone with her awesomeness was with me anyway.

Grilled tri-tip steak, parmesan angel hair pasta, sauteed mushrooms, roasted zucchini and squash, green salad.

⇧ Sound really super good; for us it was pizza and chocolate cake (I tried, but had nothing else to offer to make my list longer and more adult-like, like yours :)).

⇧ That got me to look up Clipperton Island as I wanted to "pop over" to share a bite with you, but I doubt you live on what Wikipedia describes as an "uninhabited atoll." My guess, though, is that where ever you live, it's too far for me to "pop over -" but man that sounds good.

Mushroom and spinach omelette, glass of Welch's grape juice, an orange for dessert.

⇧ Nice, I like its straight-foward simplicity with the classic American add of grape juice - an under-rated, under-appreciated thirst quencher and all-around good drink.

The simplicity comes from omitting the toast, a painful sacrifice but I am trying to lose weight.

Some years back there was a lot of publicity about the benefits of drinking red wine. Alcohol doesn't agree with me but I like grape juice and it has more resveritrol than red wine. I usually mix it with soda water. I like to think this is healthier than drinking a Coke.

We enjoyed medium well done grilled ribeyes, broccoli and corn.

Ha! We all have our things. Perhaps a foursome dinner at some point is in order.

Fading Fast, I use Clipperton Island as my location primarily because it tickles my fondness for obscure geography. Clipperton is an island, (with attached atoll) off the west coast of Mexico that is considered a part of France. My actual location is not hard to figure out given that I frequently post about things in Northern California.

Last night I had ribs and hot links. The links my Dad and I ground ourselves from pork butt using a sausage grinder that belonged to my maternal grandmother. My Dad's grandparents came to Chicago to work in the Stockyards, so it felt like we were carrying on a proud tradition of not only our region, but of our family.
