I've never tried it either, but I wouldn't rule it out. Here in the deep South we have all kind of creative ways to use up ALL the parts of a hog. I wouldn't imagine a sheep would be much different, especially if it were spiced up enough.I can't speak for anyone else, but I've never had an opportunity to try haggis, so...
I get the best result by cooking them in my rice cooker that has an oatmeal setting.We bought some steel cut oats and by gosh I just cannot seem to get into them.
Is there a preferred way of preparing them? They always turn out "hard"!
