What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

For me it's pretty much the perfect movie - I just love the chemistry between James Stewart & Grace Kelly (her costumes in the movie...*sigh*....) and there's great support from Thelma Ritter. I can't see how anyone wouldn't like this movie.

Rope - I also enjoy this under-rated gem and have watched it oodles of times. The one thing I noticed (perhaps I'm wrong) but I could swear they are drinking Champagne out of Martini glasses - has anyone else noticed this? I thought it odd if they were as their apartment was very chic and kitted out with everything you could need for a soiree - I would have thought they'd have Champagne saucers or was it the done thing at the time to drink it out of martini glasses (I've never seen this done before)?

I enjoy it so much that not only do I have it on dvd, I downloaded it on to my iPad because you never know when might be a good time to watch it!

I saw The Green Glove this evening with Glenn Ford. The ending isn't what they set you up to believe. :p

I have that one downloaded, but haven't gotten around to seeing it yet. Now you've piqued my interest...

She was indeed good looking. You would have thought the husband lucky until she tried to have him knocked off. :p

Yeah, Helen Walker was quite a dish, and a good actress.

Hi

I bought it and 3 other Duke movies, I like the Cavalry Trilogy the best. I just finished The Horse Soldiers a few nights ago.

Later

Horse Soldiers! Great film...my favourite Civil War film. Strother Martin was such a deliciously greasy character in that one...a small part but a good one.

Last night, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Been years since I'd watched it. My teen-aged kids had never heard "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head." Mrs. Hood explained to the youngsters that Robert Redford was the Brad Pitt of his day.
