Sounds good to me. I have to figure out how to make one of those Star Trek transporters. From the bottle on the shelf to the empty one on my shelf. :p Energize!

Spock, you genius!

I'm partial to Islay malt. I never run out of Lagavulin 16. I enjoy Ardbeg (Uig), and I use Bowmore Legend as it plays well in the Scotch based cocktails I make.
Outside of that, I keep a bottle Oban 14 on the bar as another mainstay and whatever else ends up there due to curiosity or a good price.

I keep those on and as well. You can get Bowmore under the McClelland's name for cheaper. :p

After watching Band of Brothers when the series first came out, I am partial to the Vat 69. Yeah, kinda corny since it came from a show/mini-series, but it's actually pretty good.

Over the past 5 years I've tried roughly 20 Scotches, searching for the few bottles that I might actually reorder. I have 3 friends that are Scotch drinkers and we each give the other 2 , 6 oz bottle of a scotch we have so we can sample without breaking the bank

I've narrowed it to these: of the Peats, I choose Lagavullin and Talisker. And Of all, I prefer Highland Park 18. But at $135 a bottle, I cannot quite justify it at the moment as funds get tight.

Tried an Old Pulteney for about $30 which is drinkable. Also a Black Bottle was surprisingly good. And cheap. Glenmorangie was a nice entry into the Scotch world. Caol Illa almost pushed me off of Scotch.

The search provides great adventure!

Glenmorangie makes some nice whisky. Try the Lasanta. It's pretty good for a 12-year old scotch. Also, I'm quite fond of Aberlour. The 18- year old is fabulous. It's what I keep in my scotch decanter.

Hudsonhawk: tried the Abelour and it was delicious. Especially around the Thanksgiving/Christmas time at parties. I had forgotten how very much I like that one. Need to get another bottle!

JamesPowers: You are absolutely right! Cael Illa is not for everyone. Some reviewer mentioned it tasted like Bandaids and I never could get that description off my mind when sipping it. Ahhh, the tremendous power of suggestion.
