This is the Castorino I believe to have been made by Borsalino. No other company used this type of label.

Ciao Stefan, the paper label can undoubtedly be attributed to Borsalino, but I suspect you might find more precise information by looking back at the research you conducted a few years ago on Italian registered trademarks.
I believe that is the most direct and conclusive way to get better leads.
To gather more details, I’ve purchased a "Castorino" (size 56 cm) that appears different from both Marcel’s and yours. I’m looking forward to receiving it; hopefully, it will provide some further clues.
Before long, we might be able to add a chapter to Borsalino’s marketing
