I have two modern Sovereigns and a vintage Sovereign in my Stetson group, and I was planning on wearing one of those. I had this one sitting out on top of a hat box and couldn't resist. I love this hat. I've been toying with the idea of selling it, since it's just a bit too big for me, but I haven't found one to replace it yet, so I'm not very motivated.

Good morning. My morning dog soirée was enjoyed under the brim of a Stetson P l a y b o y .

This version has a 2 7/8 inch brim. Most of my other vintage versions have 2 1/2 inch brims. The pic below highlights my small hat size and me enjoying a big brim.

I enjoyed morning coffee as the temps climbed to the mid 60's f (16'c). A Stetson 7X was my silverbelly hat of choice.

I ran an errand and changed to a Dobbs Cross Country.

Just curious what area you live in, that your able to wear long sleeves, fleece vest and a hat? Still in the mid 90’s most days, here in the Charlotte, NC area.

I reside in the Mpls/St.Paul, Minnesota area.

Morning temps have recently been dropping into the high 50'sf. Yesterdays high did not get to 80'f. Like everybody we have experienced the changing fluctuations in weather patterns. Generally we have cooler more moderate weather. 5-6 hours north, the Canadian border area, the temps have recently been dropping into the 40'sf. A couple days ago I visited Duluth, MN on Lake Superior (2.5 hours north). I needed a fleece jacket and a gortex parka top in the wind and cool. I went for a visit and to watch the bird migration. We saw well over 1,000 predator birds starting a migration. Fall is on our doorstep. I am looking forward to the first snow in mid to late October.

Charlotte is a pretty area of the US. Warmer than my region for sure. Not enough snow for my taste.

Cheers, Eric -

The only thing I know about St. Paul, MN is that all the women are strong, all the men are good-looking and all the children are above average.

I went out to pick up some sticks and fallen limbs as well as coiling up garden hose so I can get out and mow early tomorrow, before the heat sets back in, we have been running just above 100 for the last couple of weeks, so not much outside activity. I wore an old beat up Tilley that I reserve for yard work, it really needs a good washing but that can wait. If I have to spend any time outside it is always a hat, I see so many people just wearing baseball type caps, convenient, but no cover for tops of ears one of the highest sources of skin cancer here in the south and SW.
