Lightweight Borsalino this morning. I think this is the only Borsalino I have that isn't marked as an export. Very easy to shape, though it does remember what shape it wants to be.

I love this hat.

That is one of my favorites that you have. Nothing quite like those ones from the old days!

How'd you get it to fit you? I feel like Borsa's are notoriously a little small, it's certainly been my experience with 2 of the 3 I own in my size. And it's a size smaller than your already on the large side of 7 3/8 noggin.

Thanks - I got this one from Bill Hughes, hoping I could stretch it (before I realized this is a very touch and go propostion) and I just got lucky with this one - it was very cooperative, and I haven't been keeping a stretcher in it. I pulled it out this morning and it fits fine.

I have since learned that I was very lucky with this hat. I have had bad experiences trying to stretch other vintage hats and I am no longer as cavalier about making the attempt. But I am glad it worked out well with this one. :)

One from each end of the Earth,

Ouch! You need to get your bride to smuggle you in a hat and a bottle of something good to kill the time with

Here's hoping each day brings a little less pain and a lot more peace. Thinking of you Gary, get well soon my friend.

Wishing you a speedy recovery!!!

Back problems are no joke. My wife has occasional bouts of debilitating sciatica issues. Not on the same level as what you have going on, but it is not fun. Hope you get some relief soon.

Heal up quickly and completely Gary!

Time to heal up. Your hats are waiting for you !

Terrible news. Injuries never have good timing. Sending healing thoughts your direction this morning.

Get well quickly. Eric -

Wishing you a speedy recovery Gary!

Get well soon!

Hope you feel better soon! Back troubles are no fun.
Thank you all for the well wishes. A little better sleep, a little less pain, and a little more movement each day, so things are progressing nicely.

This one!! An approach to back pain that’s now standard in the PT industry, the MacKenzie Method. Robin MacKenzie, an osteopath in New Zealand discovered this method by accident.
First, check the short section of how to be sure it will help, not hurt.

Good luck, @The Shoe !
I believe it was helpful to me…. If for nothing else than the tip about how to properly sit in an office chair. (Even if I don’t always do it)

I am currently detoxing from HAS, as at this exact moment I do not have any new hats en route. Having a hard time not buying one I don't need just to scratch the itch.

I've kinda tightened up my parameters on what I'm looking for to the point where, most of the time, what I'm looking for isn't available. I do have a few custom hats in various stages of planning and excecution, but sadly, with the wait time involved the dopamine hit just isn't the same lol.

Green Borsalino this morning. "Rain Proof Line" for what that's worth. I thought most of these rain proof hats came sans liner, but apparently I was mistaken. I think this may be my only legitmately green hat.

So after being about 40 pages behind on this thread, I finally caught up just in time for my two week summer holiday. Ready to start posting some hats, but day 1 of the summer holidays, in hospital with a herniated disc in my back. Expected to be in hospital for two weeks, with not a hat in sight. I'm so very sorry to hear that Gary.

I hope the hospital works wonders and that you'll be up and about as good as new after your two weeks of treatment.

Take care my friend.

Good day hat folks. My morning soirée was enjoyed under the brim of a Lee All American (gray felt hue).

I enjoyed morning coffee after changing to a Lee All-American (light tan felt hued).

I headed to the grocery store after switching to a Lee All-American (fawn hued felt).

I started trimming bushes after switching to a Stetson Sovereign Open Road.
