Fantastic! It looks even better on! Congratulations Gary!My latest Wolfbrae Panama made its long awaited debut today. for those of you who haven’t seen it on the new hats thread or the Wolfbrae thread, the ribbon is made from kimono fabric which we supplied straight from Japan.. Robert suggested the solid green strip running through the middle and Etsuko suggested the accent on the bow using some more kimono fabric we had supplied. I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome. It’s a pleasure to wear. I love my first Wolfbrae, but the more modest proportions on this one will make it easier to wear regularly.

Around my neck is a Māori Pounamu carving. Pounamu is the Māori name for New Zealand (particularly South Island) jade, and it’s highly treasured in the Māori culture. You should never buy Pounamu for yourself. Etsuko bought me my pieces, and me hers.

Wow!!!! Between your choices, and the hatter's input, this one got knocked out of the park!!!!
Fantastic! It looks even better on! Congratulations Gary!
Thanks guys. I rate it as clearly my number one summer hat. The other Wolfbrae comes in at number two.Looks like Robert has really pulled out all the stops on that one, Gary. The ribbon and bow treatment are literally a unique piece of hatwork. Love it!
Congrats!
Fantastic to see your workmanship in restoring hats. From shabby to statement piece. Love the re blocking style. How about a saturday morning rehab reveal? Got the ol' spotted 4x Stetson de-spotted, gas bathed, reblocked, and reshaped. Got the new lambskin sweatband sewn in last night and it spent the night on a brim block. Just a bit of steaming this morning and its ready for the coffee shop. Ive got some more refining with the bashing and creasing, but at least this gets me out the door today. Please dont laugh at my hand sewing on the back of the sweatband... looks like a spiderweb on LSD lol.... Should have taken the time to roll out the sewing machine. Ill figure out some creative way to camoflauge the stitches soon
As arrived...
