Good start to the day... Mr Moose slept well and went out to do his business just fine first thing, tail wagging and we finally got all his morning meds inside ( it took cheese AND lunchmeat wrapped around).

Pulled on a Stetson Royal DeLuxe *** Club semi longhaired hat today. its hat a hard life and has a few crusty spots on the liner...but I think its a cute little number. Ill get it cleaned up soon.

I really appreciated them in order of appearance. The combination of the hats' presentation seems to perfectly match my tastes.
Of course, I evaluated them by tasting the dishes offered by the model...
Grazie, Daniele. With the courses and wines progressing the attention to take pictures waned, so I missed the last courses completely;)

Not so wonderful news on Mr Moose... Hes out of surgery and resting well, but will most likely need to stay there overnight. The tumor on his spleen involved over half the spleen ( removed successfully) . Unfortunately they found a hardened cancerous mass covering one of his kidneys that has adhered to the abdominal wall and other organs so it was not able to be removed. Long term prognosis is not very positive Im afraid.
That is awful news, Rick. So sorry for you and mr. Moose, but what can you do? Try and make the most of the time left I guess.

Mayser "Spezial", possibly late 1940s. The color is a actually dark blue. I found this Homburg back in 2014.

Always a remarkable hat of the day... but those invoices with their beautiful hand - incredible finds.

Left the house this morning in a Knox 20 stingy brim, but, once at the office, I received a Goodwill package that I assumed had two Mallory hats in a size too small for me, that I would turn around and resell. That held true for the first hat, but despite the other hat showing a size 1/8" too small for me, it fit quite well and was in perfect, mint condition.

The Ridgewood by Mallory (non-Sam Sneed version). I haven't been able to take it off since I tried it.

I love the hat band and bow treatment on this one. Seems well done.

40s Adam DeLuxe Quality in my faved color.
Size 7 1/8 so I’ll be taking it apart for a reblock, since I plan to keep it forever. It’ll replace a Champ I’ve had for years in the exact style, but with a 2 5/8” brim. This Adam will end up with what it has now at 2 7/8” and a taller crown. She’s worth the trouble.
I have had a steady buyer/friend for 3 or 4 years who is helping me cull redundant hats that are a bit tight for me.
It’s great having allota nice hats, but better still when they also fit comfortably.

Both the "Spezial" and receipts are great finds, Steve.

Dark blue is a hard colour to catch, but thankfully I can see it on my phone. Very special indeed!
