That is without a doubt the best wool Indiana jones I’ve ever seen……Heading out to watch our granddaughter's elementary school symphony under a new to me late 40s or early 50s Stetson Twenty-five.
This is the one I snagged that was listed as a wool Indiana Jones.

You did a very nice job bringing that back, Gary. And I, for one, always enjoy posts where members gush about their latest (or at least today's) hat. Keep on writing!
Nice save Gary !! Always cool to know the back story on these old hats...
What a great score!! I wonder how many of us didn't even read the listing carefully? Kudos, Don!!Heading out to watch our granddaughter's elementary school symphony under a new to me late 40s or early 50s Stetson Twenty-five.

Winner!!!! That bow alone is STUPENDOUS, Alan!!Today, an unusual WWII era hat made and sold in what is now the Czech Republic... one from an incredible collection of NOS hats that @mayserwegener came across in 2015. The felt might be a wool/hare mix - it is heavy and thick - and the overall finish and materials feel spartan as one might expect from wartime supply shortages in Europe. The styling is wonderful and flattering to wear. Note the triangular bow wrap... not sure I have seen this done before or since. Steve has (as always) remarkable research on the maker here: https://germanaustrianhats.invision...rolinenthal-karlin-hussinetz-husinec-bohemia/

A panorama from @mayserwegener website showing the breadth of this NOS discovery in 2015.
