It's been raining here for the last 3 days but finally got a little break this morning. Chilly 48 degrees so I picked my Rand's 15X for today's lid.
Hope y'all have a good 'un !

One more day of nice weather, so Im heading out this morning with one of my favorite 3x Stetsons. 5-1/4" crown 2-5/8" brim and even a long oval.... Feels soooo good. Wonderfully soft hat that just sits perfectly.

Looks like 100% chance of rain tomorrow, so it will most likely be an Akubra day. Supposed to be a new-to-me Olive green Akubra out for delivery today. Maybe it will get to go play outside on its first day here!

Those 3Xs are hard to beat. I can fully understand the excitement over it being a new to you hat out for delivery day down in Texas...it's a 2 hats out for delivery day for this ol hillbilly ! Wasn't really planned that way but one of these has been in the USPS twilight zone from Stinnett, Texas for a week. Whew.

Great hat & show !!
* I've got a Northwest Hat myself and really admire the quality of the materials & construction. It is one of the few custom hats I own that the felt rivals the older felts in it's softness & ability to mold like clay without steam.

I keep coming back to this post and I can’t emphasize enough how much I like it. That’s a killer hat and a killer look for you. The personalization by supplying the ribbon fabric and getting it in your correct long oval head size make it even better. Congratulations on the Wolfbrae.
Thanks, Gary. Keep an eye out for my wife’s one, too.

I'm a UFO, space, and science fiction nerd, and this hat kicks my imagination into high gear. This Stetson (The same one I'm wearing in my profile picture) was originally bought at a store in Roswell, NM. Was it worn by someone who had been close to the Roswell flying saucer crash less than ten years earlier, and remembered the details of it? Was it a reporter or government official who had been involved in some way? We may not know in our lifetimes, but the truth is out there. IMG_6117.jpeg IMG_6118.jpeg IMG_6120.jpeg

I do that too. Love making up potential stories based upon where the hat was bought or originally sold. I once gifted a refurbished 1940's Borsalino to a friend with a great possible story I knew he'd love.
