Stetson NOR 3X with 2.5/2.625 BE x 5.625/5.75 depending on tolerance. Red liner. Very soft felt like a Royal De Luxe or better.

General hat “looking after question”. Has any one found a good wall hanger for hats and if so where. All I find locally are coat hooks. Be nice to arrange them on the wall.
It really depends on what your space availability is like, and what kind of set-up you're looking for. The other issue, of course, is what's available in our part(s) of the world, may not be available in yours. (Or may be prohibitively expensive with shipping.) Personally, almost all of my westerns live on a number of these:

Another option that I use, although not to the same extent, is a "closet organizer" (in quotes, because that's how they're usually listed on sales sites).

You can also get creative and mount hooks purchased from hardware stores or antiques sites, on a wooden "plaque" available from arts and crafts sites. These have several advantages: you can use them horizontally or vertically, you can get as fancy as you like with the hooks you choose, and you can paint the base plaque whatever color pleases you.

Happy planning!!

I've been looking for a legit vintage Open Road for a long long time. Although the search for a '50s Open Road continues. This beauty showed up on @BobHufford thread and we struck a deal (Thank You, BTW!). I spent some time with steam and a little TLC. This mid-late '50s Borsalino will fill that gap while the search goes on.
Awesome hat, and perfect crease on that crown, @quikrick!!

Either of these may work. Got them both on a well-known Chinese shopping site. Even with tariffs in place, if they currently ship from local stock, they are a very good price.

Finally survived last nights storms and power outage. To celebrate the morning after, heres another of the survivor hats on my wall. This ones a nice old Knox 15. When it got to me it was covered in what looked like little paint splatters, lots of moth nibbles, a totally rotted sweatband, and a liner that I was afraid to touch without gloves on lol. Disassembled and gave it a really good gas bath, did some surface pouncing to mitigate some of the surface divots, sewed in a new sweatband, added a new liner ( saved the embossed logo from the sweat and recycled it to live in the center of the new liner). Reused a wide ribbon from another old beater that JUST manages to hide some of the worst moth ventilation holes. All-in-all a decent damage camouflage job. Very wearable and beautifully soft hat. A proud member in good standing at Rick's wayward hat shelter

In the Navy I was taught to never put your hat (cover) on a table or a bed. That's bad luck!

But maybe if you put all your hats on the table....
Mine is usually more of a worksurface than a dining table anyway so I should be good to go. In the Big Green Machine us Marines rarely came inside, so when we did we just folded our utility cover up in the trouser pockets ... never had any concerns about pushing our luck with tables lol
