What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Again and again: wonderful hat, Steve! In fact, so much depends on experience (and you have a lot of it!), so that you get a feel for things and then you can't explain some of them (you often read that in Daniele's posts, for example) . With this “very likely STECO” I can even understand the feeling...
Matt, Thanks! I could be completely wrong too! :)

Waiting on my bus after a night out in Bangkok. This will probably be the last day for the FED IV - it's getting too hot now.

I've spent the last few weeks in BKK being a bit of a local, running medical errands and orienting myself to the city. Tomorrow I intend to start hitting up tourist sites. Still another week and I've barely even scratched the surface here. What a town!

J. Hückel´s Söhne "Pra Velour" "Bockmeiers Edelvelour", possibly later 1930s and a recent find.

J. Hückel´s Söhne promo pocket mirror possibly late 1920s to mid 1930s. There is a blow-up of this same image on display at the Novy Jicin City Museum Hat exhibit. Karl Plachky was a hat / furrier shop in Zeitz, Germany.

Wonderful hat, Steve. And reassuring that they can still be found!

"NEUHEIT" "SPITZENKLASSE" "EXTRA FEIN" Velour, possibly 1930s. I haven't worn this one in awhile but it's one my favorites. Really interesting liner design with reeded pipping. I can't say for sure but I have a strong feeling it was made by Friedrich Steinberg Herrmann & Co. Hutfabrik Luckenwalde / STECO.

Here you can see the exposed reed used in the liner pipping.

Early start to the day under one of the Stylemasters. Going to be a long day with a 2 hr drive over for a friends retirement party, several hrs of standing around and then a 2 hr drive home. Sure hope the back holds out lol

Trying to decide which hat to wear today... Got it narrowed down to the this Acorn Stylemaster, Caribou Stratoliner, Brown Temple, Black Temple, or a SB Open Road. Decisions, decisions, decisions.... Hard to choose but nice to have options. Just to be safe Ill prob narrow it down to three and carry the # 2 and 3 choices over in my samsonite hard hat case as backups
